Government PE and Sports Grant Funding:
This additional grant for schools is for the purpose of improving and sustaining PE, sport and physical activity provision for primary aged pupils in England, It has made a lasting impact on many pupils since it's introduction. Pupils develop into healthier, happier and confident individuals and embed a good understanding of the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle. Schools are accountable for how this funding is used to ensure pupils have opportunities for good quality PE and Sporting provision.
St Patrick's PE and Sports Funding and Swimming Information
At St Patrick's pupils access swimming in Year 5. They go to Batley Sports Centre each week from February to the end of the year and access a double length lesson for just around an hour which has proven to enable pupils to make faster progress. The swimming data shared below is for Year 6 pupils but taken from the end of their swimming provision in Year 5.
